A view of Australia's detention of asylum seekers and a search for an antidote to the dictum "might makes right"
It is amazing how much a cartoon can say between the lines ... ( Within the lines Trevor Cook, Tim Dunlop and Antony Loewenstein are spreading the word far and wide - I wish you good time blogging - I shall lurk on your site even if not comment as often ;-D )It is easy to see why illegal immigrants are attractive to employers. These are generally good, hard-working people who will quietly accept minimum wage (or less), who don't generally get health or other benefits, and if they complain, they can be easily fired There's nothing cheap about immigrant labor
I find it so annoying that there are jobs out there that need to be done, that there are many foreigners willing to do the jobs, and yet these positions are not getting filled. Can anything be more wasteful? The lazy locals are the ones to blame.
